Leadership, delivery, cross-team structures and the introduction of AI in product and engineering contexts.
Profile
I am Christoph Kasmeridis and have been working on digital applications, platforms and technical structures for around 30 years. My perspective has never been purely technical. I have always been interested in how technology, product, organization and business can come together in meaningful ways.
Perspective
I enjoy working in environments where technological questions are not seen in isolation, but in relation to product, delivery, operations and business reality. To me, good technical decisions are decisions that are not only well reasoned, but also sustainable over time.
That also means taking new developments seriously early on without following them uncritically. I am not interested in innovation as a pose, but in innovation where it leads to better decisions, more durable systems or more effective collaboration.
Common thread
A recurring pattern in my career is the early recognition of relevant technological developments and their framing within a broader context. Even my diploma thesis dealt with the strategic potential of web tracking, at a time when many of the tools that later became standard had not yet been established.
That mindset still shapes my work today: evaluating technologies not only by their technical elegance, but by what they mean for product, operations, organization and business.
Background
My career began in development and technical concept work. Over time, this expanded to technical project leadership, building digital units, responsibility for platforms and infrastructure, and leadership roles at the intersection of technology, delivery and organization.
I have worked in different setups: consulting, agency and product environments, fast-growing digital business models and leadership roles with responsibility for delivery, operations, security, structures and teams.
Stations
Leadership, delivery, cross-team structures and the introduction of AI in product and engineering contexts.
IT infrastructure, data, IT services, governance, risk management and operations.
Building and leading IT and solution units, SaaS, delivery, high availability and operations.
Platform strategy, performance, technical operations and e-commerce.
Focus
I am often most effective where a purely specialized view is not enough: at the intersection of technology, product, operations and leadership. In that sense, I see myself as a technical Swiss army knife for digital applications: broad in scope, but with a clear eye for priorities and impact.
